False Flags for Viruses Upon Download
Traversal (prototype) » Devlog
- I don't know if any other developers out there can help. I wrote the game in C++. All that is in the zip is the application, the sprite sheet PNG, one CSV (level data), the game font, and the DLL files. Whenever I test download, Chrome or Windows blocks the file because it is false flagging it as a virus. If I momentarily disable virus and threat protection, then it downloads, unzips, and plays perfectly.
- Is there some other way to package the zip to make it not get flagged. The reason I'm seeing is that it has an EXE file in the folder. It's pretty frustrating since, I'm really just trying to get this out to a few friends here and there to try out.
- I read something about getting the code officially certified and signed, but that seems a little extreme for a prototype of my first-ever game. Any help is appreciated!
